Have you ever been in a yoga class where emotions suddenly surfaced and you weren’t sure what to do, either as the teacher or as a participant?

This is something I hear all the time from yoga teachers:

“I want to support my students, but I’m afraid of doing or saying the wrong thing.”

“What if someone gets triggered in my class — how do I respond without overstepping my role?”

“I’ve learned how to guide asana and breath, but no one ever trained me in how to hold space for emotional processing.”

And from students:

“Sometimes yoga classes don’t feel safe. I love the practice, but I wish for teachers who could also hold space for my emotions.”

This is why I created my brand-new course:

The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding
(A 30 HR Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Course, available live in Thailand and online worldwide)

Why Space Holding Matters

Yoga is more than movement. It’s a practice that touches the nervous system, unravels old stories, and awakens emotions stored in the body. When we ask people to pause, breathe, and feel, things come up.

Without the right tools, teachers can feel unprepared, overwhelmed, or even retraumatize someone unintentionally.

Being trauma-informed changes everything.

  • You know how to set up the space to feel safer from the very start.
  • You know how to respond skillfully when emotions or triggers arise.
  • You know how to respect boundaries while still offering presence and care.
  • You can teach in a way that empowers students, respecting wherever they are in their journey.

This isn’t about becoming a therapist.
It’s about becoming the kind of space holder who understands how to meet people with dignity, compassion, and grounded leadership.

About the Course

In this 30-hour training, we’ll dive deep into:

  • The foundations of trauma awareness and how it intersects with yoga.
  • Understanding the nervous system: what’s happening when one becomes triggered, and how to support nervous system regulation.
  • Space holding skills: language, presence, ethical & safe touch, consent, choice, and boundaries.
  • How to protect your own nervous system to prevent burnout.
  • Practical tools to bring back to your yoga classes, healing work, or personal practice.

And because I know that learning needs safety and flexibility you can join us either:

Live in Thailand (for a fully immersive experience)
or
Online from the comfort of your home (to integrate at your own pace, with community support)

Who This Course is Designed For

Yoga teachers who want to go beyond asana and truly meet students where they are.
Practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of trauma-informed yoga for their own journey.
Space holders, facilitators, coaches, bodyworkers who want a stronger framework for safety, presence, and boundaries.

Why I Created This Course

Because in the end, yoga isn’t only about sequencing or alignment. It’s about creating a container where people feel seen, safe, and supported enough to open up to their own experience.

And that’s the true art.

If you’ve ever felt the weight of responsibility when guiding others…
If you’ve ever wished for more confidence when students bring emotions into the room…
If you’ve ever wanted to hold space in a way that is deeply human, trauma-aware, and sustainable for both you and them…

Then this training is for you.
