Energy Balls – A Healthy Snack with Essential Oils

Energy ball variations – healthy snack ideas using essential oils

I experimented with some essential oil infused desserts recently and would like to share the recipes I came up with.

For the base recipe I have used this YouTube video as inspiration.

Regarding other ingredients and flavour you can use your imagination.
I usually make balls or roll the dough flat and make bars or square shaped bites.
Top them with chia seeds, crushed nuts, raw cocoa powder, sesame seeds or grated coconut.

Dried fruit balls with lemon flavour
  • 1 handful soaked pitted dates
  • 1 handful oats
  • 1 handful grated coconut
  • 1 handful dried berries (blueberry, goji etc.)
  • 2 drops doTERRA Lemon essential oil or doTERRA Citrus Bliss essential oil blend

Cocoa-almond-peppermint protein balls
  • 1 handful soaked pitted dates
  • 1 handful oats
  • 1 handful grated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon raw cocoa
  • Coca nibs (optional)
  • 2 drops doTERRA Peppermint essential oil

Fruit-orange-cinnamon energy balls
  • 1 handful soaked pitted dates
  • 1 handful oats
  • 1 handful grated coconut
  • 1 handful dried fruit (I used dried plums)
  • 2 drops doTERRA Wild Orange essential oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Lavender-almond-peach dessert
  • 1 handful soaked pitted dates
  • 1 handful oats
  • 1 handful grated coconut
  • 1 handful dried apricots chopped
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 2 drops doTERRA Lavender essential oil
